Robert J. Luther, Veteran New Jersey Prosecutor, Joins Helmer, Paul, Conley & Kasselman

Haddon Heights, N.J. (Lexis Nexis) January 14, 2010 -- Helmer, Paul, Conley & Kasselman (HPCK), a leading criminal defense law firm in New Jersey (http://www.helmerlegal.com/aop/new-jersey-criminal-law/), today announced that highly regarded prosecutor Robert J. Luther has joined the firm as Of Counsel.

Luther moved to HPCK after serving as an Assistant Prosecutor for more than 25 years in New Jersey. He was the First Assistant Prosecutor and Trial Chief for the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, then moved to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, where he served as the Section Chief of the Major Crimes Unit and also worked in the trial team, grand jury and juvenile units. Luther has successfully tried dozens of homicide cases in his career and has also been featured on legal television programs such as Court TV and Due Process.

"Bob built a career as one of the most successful and ethical prosecuting attorneys in our state, so we are delighted that he chose to join our firm in making his switch to the law firm side," said Ron Helmer, senior partner of HPCK. "His deep experience with a wide range of criminal law matters will be a tremendous complement to our capabilities in serving our clients."

According to Helmer, Luther is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Criminal Trial Attorney, becoming the third criminal law attorney (http://www.helmerlegal.com/aop/new-jersey-criminal-law/criminal-defense-attorney/) at Helmer Paul to hold this prestigious certification.

Luther earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University at New Brunswick and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law at Camden. He is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts in New Jersey and has practiced law since 1983.

Helmer, Paul, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. is an energetic medium-sized New Jersey law firm. By limiting its practice to specific areas of expertise, the firm delivers exceptional professional services to its clients and is widely respected in the legal community. For example, in addition to its well-known work in criminal defense law, the firm employs a number of experienced immigration (http://www.helmerlegal.com/aop/new-jersey-immigration/) and divorce (http://www.helmerlegal.com/aop/divorce-process/) attorneys, as well as a robust workers' compensation (http://www.helmerlegal.com/aop/new-jersey-workers-compensation/) practice.
